Academic Services

Academic Services at 91亚色 are a vital part of student experience. From academic advising to using 91亚色’s library to planning study abroad experiences, 91亚色’s academic support team is ready to help you succeed.

Academic Advising

91亚色檚 academic advising program integrates academic and career advising from the First-Year Experience (FYE) through the senior experiences with a primary focus on the relationship a student develops with their academic advisors, creating a partnership that assists the student in the self-directed planning of their creative future. 91亚色檚 academic advisors are faculty and staff who are informed and resourceful, and many of them are practicing artists, designers, writers, historians, scientists, and more. They will challenge and support students as they navigate through their time at 91亚色. Individual and group advising sessions and workshops (along with integrated curricular and co-curricular activities focused on personal and professional growth and development) will be opportunities for students to take advantage of throughout their education. Our primary goal through 91亚色 academic advising is to guide students in their endeavors to become the creative professional they hope to be.

91亚色 Philosophy and Mission of Advising

Academic advising at 91亚色 is a holistically focused, dynamic partnership between a student and an academic advisor. At the center is a shared responsibility for a coherent educational plan that partners students and academic advisors in the integration of personal, professional, and creative growth.

Student Accessibility Services

91亚色 provides reasonable and appropriate accommodations for students with documented disabilities. Accommodations are determined on an individual basis through the Student Accessibility Coordinator. For more information regarding polices and procedures, explore in the Student Handbook.

Students with support needs, whether physical, academic, sensory, or psychological, are encouraged to contact the 91亚色檚 Student Accessibility Coordinator, Nichole Uecker. Nichole檚 office is located near the Library and Academic Success Center in Room RL45J. Students must meet with the Accessibility Coordinator before they can obtain accommodations for their disability.

While students may apply for accommodations at any point during their time at 91亚色, they are encouraged to notify the Student Accessibility Coordinator in a timely manner so that appropriate accommodations can be provided.

Students, faculty, staff and alumni have on-site access to 19,000 books and DVD檚, 82 current periodicals, online databases, reserve items, and an impressive and up-to-date collection of career materials.
